This weekend the annual Leith Festival officially launches at 10am on Saturday 10th June with the Community Pageant procession from Edinburgh City Football Club (opposite Lochend Park) down Lochend Road all the way to Leith Links. At 10.30am the Gala Day, celebrating the area’s cultural diversity, will begin. It promises to be a day of free live performances and activities suitable for all ages. Some free to participate highlights to look forward to on the opening day include: Circus workshops in juggling, plate-spinning and the like. Youth football bounce games. Music therapy. Meditation sessions and Parkour for beginners.
